Hi, I'm Suzanne, a clinical psychologist who loves working with kids and their families!
I have over fifteen years of experience working in both public and private sectors in Australia and the UK. I have worked in a variety of settings over that time, such as hospitals, schools, and community clinics, and I have worked with people of all ages and from all backgrounds. I really enjoy working with kids and their families, particularly those who are having a hard time at home and/or school and need some support to make life run more smoothly for them and their families.
I have completed training in a variety of evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) and have a particular interest in mindfulness-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also discovered Ross Greene Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) model a few years ago and love the model so much that I became a certified provider and certified trainer. The Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) model, created by Dr. Ross Greene, is a practical approach helping kids with challenging behaviors. Instead of focusing on punishment, CPS looks at why a child is struggling—whether it’s due to difficulty managing emotions, solving problems, or understanding expectations. The idea is that kids do well when they can, and the model encourages parents, teachers, and caregivers to work together with the child to find solutions. It’s all about listening, understanding the child’s needs, and teaching skills to solve problems in a way that’s respectful and supportive for everyone involved. You can find more about it here.

I've been trained in the assessment of children's developmental needs and can provide clinical assessment and diagnosis for Autism, ADHD, intellectual/learning difficulties, and mental health conditions. I am approved by the Psychology Board of Australia as a supervisor for all psychology training pathways, and I enjoy providing supervision for ongoing professional development to other psychologists and health professionals as well.
